Information and Student Services (ISS)
The student information services (SIS) system is an important innovation introduced in the college to facilitate
better management of information and data relating to academics and general administration.
SIS is accessible through the college website www.ramjascollege.edu. Whereas the website carries a host of
information on the college, the login option for SIS is restricted to students, staff and the administration of the
college. The system is web based and accessible at any location through the Internet.
All academic and administrative data relating to students are uploaded, stored, processes and retrieved through
the dedicated software that runs SIS. From tutorial management to term wise attendance, from midterm marks
to assignment grades, from back end reports to all important information (like syllabus, important dates, etc),
SIS is primary driver for information management in Ramjas.
SIS ensures total transparency and ease of information sharing. Students are actively encouraged to use SIS on
a regular basis. First year students will be required to fill out a special form designed specifically for SIS inputs.
They will receive their login IDs and password soon after the academic session begins on July 16, 2007.

National Service Scheme
Teacher In-Charge: Dr (Mrs) RR Goyal
The NSS scheme is designed to provide a platform for students to engage in socially useful productive activities.
Work done under the aegis of NSS will reflect in their internal assessment credits. The NSS inculcates qualities
of leadership in the very significant area of social dynamism.
Since the last academic year the NSS chapter of Ramjas College has extended its activities to the area of health
and medical support training. Within the college, camps for HIV-AIDS awareness, eye care, blood donation and
female foeticide have been held. In association with the St John' Ambulance Brigade, the NSS conducted a very
well-attended certificate course in First Aid.
Student Activity Centre
The College has built a specially designed Student Activity Centre where the students of the College can congregate
to conduct meetings, discussions and functions regarding academic, cultural, political and other creative
activities and also conduct the business of clubs and societies. The extra curricular activities committee (ECAC)
has a dedicated area within the Centre for the conduct of its activities. The Centre has an LCD projection system,
besides a professional quality hi-fi sound system.
Student Counsellor
The college has engaged the services of the Student counsellor to provide support to its
students in matters of critical academic, career and life choices. Ms Shifa Haq, our new
student counsellor joins us on the basis of a strong platform of achievements, which rides
on the back of excellent academic scores, relevant experience with young adults in the
fields of psychological counselling for depression, substance abuse, etc., and research interests
in adolescents and young adults. Her experience in working with adolescents and
young adults alike has armed her with sound knowledge of their psyche, along with giving
her the requisite skills for effective help and healing.
