Plaque of honour by Governing body

  1. Sh. Raj Kumar Gupta and Prof. (Mrs.) Ashum Gupta took leave of absence.
  2. The Chairman welcomed all the members of the Governing Body especially new members Sh. Anil Kumar Agarwal and Sh. Vinod Kumar Gupta and Teacher’s Representatives Sh. P. P. Joshi and Mrs. Sonia Goel.
  3. The Chairman, Governing Body shared with members that Dr. Rajendra Prasad has completed 25 years as Principal of Ramjas College on 6th July 2010.  He along with other members expressed that it is a matter of great pride that Ramjas College is today regarded with respect within the academic establishments.  It is in the order of things that we take note of and appreciate, with adequate emphasis the contribution of an individual who has brought about this transformation.  Principal Rajendra Prasad has single handedly battled adversity to bring about the positive environment we have before us today.  When Dr. Prasad joined Ramjas 25 years back, he inherited a College that was passing through perhaps its worst phase.  All administrative and financial systems had collapsed.  Principals were being forced out of office by belligerent agitations led by students, karamcharis and teachers. Amidst this gloom, Dr. Prasad shone like a torch, paving the path for the College’s peaceful and progressive transformation into an institution noted for its stability, farsightedness and academic leadership.  The continual addition of progressive academic tools, along with innovative initiatives like add-on courses, students exchange programmes with foreign universities, the creation of a Knowledge Centre and teaching aids like LCDs in classrooms, a path breaking students information system, wifi campus, institution of 4 Centres of Excellence, Ramjas College is today a dynamic institution rated as one of the top Colleges of India.  For much of this, we are grateful to Dr. Prasad and also appreciate the co-operation he has received from all staff members of the College.

The Chairman, along with the members of the Governing Body decided to seemly honour Dr. Rajendra Prasad with befitting sense of majesty.

Further resolved that the matter be referred to Ramjas Foundation for organizing the function.
